I am so excited to announce to you our search for a new staff position we’ve titled our Connections Pastor. The role of the Connections Pastor is to help people connect with God and with one another. The Connections Pastor will help to build a team of leaders who lead, encourage, and equip the Small Group Ministry, the new Assimilation Ministry, the Guest Services ministry, Adult Classes, and large scale Church Events. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of dynamic team leadership and a passionate conviction to see people connect with God and with each other. The person must hold a high view of the Bible, be self-motivated and responsible, and someone who enjoys building teams. The person must be both organized and good with people, and not one to care who gets the credit. The person must also enjoy wearing various hats and be committed to building teams that equip and unleash God’s people to do the ministry.As you can see we are looking for quite a person! That means we desperately need your prayers. We would love to hire the person this summer so they could be ready to launch in the fall. We are asking all of the Santa Cruz Bible Church family to diligently join us in prayer as we look for this important person. The Bible tells us that God answers the prayer of a righteous person. So we are asking you to pray and here are some things you can be praying for: Pray for someone called by God, not someone looking for a job. Pray for a good match of their gifts and our needs. Pray for God to touch the heart of someone we need. Pray for the person’s family to open to the change. Pray for someone who can live and enjoy Santa Cruz.
