Darren and Becky were Camp Hammer sweethearts who married in 1994. They have three children, Anna (6), Ethan (4), and Caroline (2).

This is Darren’s second time around at SCBC. He was the Junior High Director between 1996 and 2000. After leaving SCBC, he worked briefly at a church plant in Palo Alto called the HighWay Community, followed by six years as the Pastor of Adult Ministries at First Baptist Church of Los Altos.

Darren graduated from UC Davis with a degree in English in 1992. He has a law degree from the University of Oregon and passed the California Bar exam in 1996. He earned a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2003.

Darren loves Biblical studies and theology, books of all kinds, traveling anywhere, running, Oregon Ducks sports, weekend getaways to San Francisco with Becky (thanks to Priceline.com), restaurants (when he’s not enjoying Becky’s Italian cooking), and exploring places near and far with their kids.
