Vacation Bible Camp 2017
June 19, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 12:15 pm
Imagine a world where curious kids become hands-on inventors who discover that they are lovingly crafted by God. Join us for Maker Fun Factory Vacation Bible Camp! From June 19th through the 23rd kids will become hands-on inventors who discover they are lovingly crafted by God. Hundreds of kids from 4 years old to kids going into 5th grade will be here to attend this exciting VBC. Register your kids today or sign up to volunteer as a leader or helper, with the link to the right!
Over the years, Vacation Bible Camp has had a powerful impact on the lives of so many kids as they are welcomed into a loving community to hear about the God who created them and wants to have a relationship with them. Would you be willing to serve at VBC this year?
Our primary need is for volunteers to lead crews of elementary and preschool kiddos throughout the whole week. If you are unavailable the entire week, we have plenty that you can still help out with, ranging from registration, to working in the kitchen, or to set-up & clean-up.

Q: How much supervision will there be for my child?
A: Elementary groups generally have one leader for every 4-5 children. For preschool there is one leader for every 3-4 children. All leaders over 18 are background checked and all leaders under 18 are known and/or interviewed before they serve.
Q: Can I pay with cash or check?
A: Yes, please drop off your payment at our church office, or mail (check only) to the church address: 440 Frederick St. Santa Cruz, CA 95062. Put in the memo “VBC” and your children’s names.
Q: What if my child has special dietary needs?
A: We always do our best to make the snacks at VBC as nutritious as possible, but because of the many kids that we have, we can’t accommodate special dietary needs. If your child does have allergies or other special dietary needs, please send them with an appropriate snack that they can eat during snack time.
Q: Can someone other than me pick up my child?
A: Yes! If you would like someone other than you to pick up your child, please let your child’s leader know at the beginning of the morning so they will know who to expect.
Q: My child won’t be 4 years old in time for VBC, but will turn 4 soon after – can they attend VBC?
A: We’d love to say yes to all children, but we also need to have a cutoff date, and we’ve chosen to only accept children who will be 4 by the week of VBC. However, if your child is close to 4 AND you would like to help in their classroom, we can make accommodation for that.
Q: Can my middle school student volunteer to help at VBC?
A: Yes! Typically middle schoolers help as preschool assistant crew leaders. Just register them as a volunteer and we will contact you.
Q: I want a CD with the music, where can I get that?
A: We have CDs and download cards for $5 on Sundays in the children’s building, also in the church office Monday-Thursday from 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-4:00pm. They will also be available the week of VBC.
