Connect with God, the church community and your purpose in unexpected, life-changing ways. The Rooted experience redefines how people live life and view their relationship with God and others, giving context to what it means to be a part of something bigger. You will begin to see God in new ways, allowing you to experience a different way of life: community, authenticity and generosity.
Rooted is an interactive experience. In the course of 10 weeks, you will get together weekly with your group to talk about what God has been revealing to you as you go through the week’s readings, journal entries, and prayer. You will also learn from one another as the Holy Spirit works to comfort, encourage and guide each member.
Your group will share three experiences together outside of your group time: prayer, serving and sharing your story. After the last session, you’ll join together with other groups and celebrate how God is working to connect each of you with your passion, your purpose and your community.
Rooted groups are hosted on the SCBC campus on Sundays from 5-7pm, Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm and Thursday Mornings (Times Pending). (Please note that all participants, including Tuesday and Thursday groups, will meet together from 5-7pm on Sunday, January 14th for the Kickoff and on Sunday, March 4th for Week 8.) We ask that you commit to being at your group every week for the 10-week experience. This may require that you change up your schedule and shuffle things around, but we really believe it will be worth it for this life-changing experience!
Cost is $25 and includes a study guide and other materials. Childcare is available on Sunday nights and Thursday mornings and is $50 per child up to 2 children (if you have more than 2 kids, the 3rd, 4th, etc. are free). Please indicate how many children will be involved on the registration form below. Our next session begins January 14th and will wrap up with our Rooted Celebration Night on Sunday March 25th!
