The 7.o earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, has left tens of thousands of people dead, and rescuers are continuing an increasingly desperate search for survivors. Please join us in prayer as we lift Haiti and all those affected by this disaster up in prayer. Let’s call out to God together for protection and comfort for them during these difficult days.  Dave

SCBC will be creating a Haiti relief fund. All monies given to SCBC, to this fund will go directly to Haiti relief effort on the ground, through a partner church, faith-based organization or supplies needed for Haiti mission trip.  Please put the word Haiti in the memo line of your check to designate.

SCBC is currently working with The Phoenix Project, to take the next step. Our first step is putting together a Saturday training, which will prepare members who feel called to Go. The Mission dept, alongside of The Phoenix Project will be determining when the best time for our team to go to Haiti, whether it is 1, 2 or 3 months from now. We want to be sensitive to God’s lead and the need of the country. Our Crisis & Disaster Training is set for Feb 13.
