Brief description of what you do at SCBC:
My goal is to reach kids creatively with the Gospel! Basically every week I prepare a fun bible story and small group lesson for grades k-5, eat donuts and develop meaningful relationships with your kids.
What was your first car?
1994 Nissan pick-up. I named her Truckie. Truckie was good to me.
Where’s your favorite spot in Santa Cruz county?
This is a toughie, we are surrounded by beauty but if I had to choose a place it would be Wilder Ranch. Wilder always takes my breath away.
Favorite place to eat in Santa Cruz?
Oh man, food is life! We have some good eats here. When I’m on a budget: Breakfast – Paula’s, Lunch – Aloha, Dinner – Tacos Moreno’s. After Tax Return: Breakfast – Silver Spur, Harbor Cafe, Lunch/Dinner – Lillian’s, Bittersweet Bistro, Crow’s Nest, Shadowbrook, Laili the list goes on…lol
What are your top 3 favorite movies?
The Goonies, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and my childhood favorite was Pete’s Dragon. I’ve also probably seen every romantic comedy ever made. Don’t judge 🙂
What’s your hidden talent or a fun fact about you?
I went to the Junior Olympics for Water Polo, graduated Cabrillo’s Culinary Program and am a big kid for life!
What was your first paying job?
Swim Instructor! I thought it was so cool to teach kids and even some adults how to swim!
Food. I do not discriminate.
“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.” – Mother Teresa
Hollister, Ca. Long live the Haybalers!
Still a work in progress. I use up most of my reading time bribing my nieces and nephew to race-read books. We are big fans of The Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Maze Runner and Divergent series.
What would your ideal day off look like?
A day with family. Church, adventure, dinner and a movie!
